Ethinylestradiol and Levonorgestrel are the combination of hormones :(progestogen and estrogen) used for preventing pregnancy in women who elect to use oral contraceptives as a method of contraception.
Ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy.

Known as Oral contraceptive pill or birth control pill
Prevents pregnancy by stopping the egg from fully developing each month. Thickens the cervical mucus and things the uterine lining to make it harder for sperm to reach the egg and implant.
Indication
Besides preventing pregnancy:
1.It can make period more regular,
2.reduce blood loss, and painful periods,
3.decrease the risk of ovarian cyst and treat acne.
When to take?
– you must start taking it on the first day of your menstrual period.
Note: take one tablet orally once a day at the same time each day.

Each film coated tablet contains:
A.) Levonorgestrel BP – 0.15mg
B.) Ethinylestradiol BP – 0.03mg
Lactation: Not recommended in breast feeding mothers.
